Shultz is celebrated by his wife, Charlotte Mailliard Shultz, the former chief of protocol for the state of California, whom he married in 1997; his five children, Margaret Ann Tilsworth, Kathleen Pratt Shultz Jorgensen, Peter Milton Shultz, Barbara Lennox Shultz White, and Alexander George Shultz; eleven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
