Hoover Institution Hosts Fourth Annual Indigenous Student Seminar

From Monday, August 7, to Friday, August 11, 2023, the Hoover Institution Indigenous Student Seminar convened high-achieving students and young professionals who aspire to be the next business and tribal leaders of various American Indian nations and other autochthonous communities in the world.

The Indigenous Student Seminar convened 31 participants, including college and university students as well as recently graduated young professionals, originating from 33 indigenous communities in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, representing a diverse set of academic disciplines and career interests.

In welcoming remarks, Hoover Institution director Condoleezza Rice underscores that the Indigenous Student Seminar is a unique opportunity for participants to learn and sharpen practical skills that they can use to improve the conditions of their communities and help their economies thrive.
