Congratulations to Hoover archivist and African history scholar Issayas Tesfamariam, whose article "Abraham P. Hannibal: Against All Odds" was recently published in African Visionaries(2019), edited by Agnes Ofosua Vandyck and Molly Nyagura. The article was translated into German and was published under the title Visionäre Afrikas: Der Kontinent in ungewöhnlichen Porträts in 2014 by Peter Hammer Verlag Publishing Company of Wuppertal of Germany and has been used as a text for the study of African literature in German universities. The article will soon appear in French as well.
