Hoover Institution (Stanford, CA) — Hoover scholars led by Director Condoleezza Rice welcomed Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden on November 11, discussing a range of issues, from global technological competition to shared US-EU security priorities as well as the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Frieden and Rice’s professional relationship extends decades, as Frieden was Luxembourg’s Minister of Defence and Minister of the Treasury during Rice’s time as US Secretary of State, from 2005 to 2009.
