Hoover Institution (Stanford, CA) – The Hoover Education Success Initiative (HESI) has launched a new interactive map at Hoover.org that illustrates the variety of school choice options available for students and families in all fifty US states, the District of Columbia, and the nation’s 25 largest school districts.

As users click on any state or location designated by a marker, there appears a display box that contains a list of its respective school choice programs, as well as social media buttons that enable this information to be easily shared.

The map website includes a glossary of school choice terms, as well as links to resources produced by the Hoover fellowship, including public programming; the books Charter Schools and Their Enemies by Senior Fellow Thomas Sowell and Unshackled: Freeing America’s K–12 Education System by Research Fellow Clint Bolick and educator Kate Hardiman; and published HESI essays by Paul E. Peterson, “Expand School Choice and Provide Fiscal Relief to Districts” and “Toward Equitable School Choice.”
